Supporting Local: Your Guide to Farms, Markets & Stores in Far North Queensland

Here in Far North Queensland, we know the value of hard work, looking after our land, and looking out for each other. Our farmers, growers, markets and small stores are the backbone of our communities — supplying fresh, quality food and keeping local dollars circulating close to home.

This guide is a celebration of the people and places that feed FNQ. From long-standing family farms to local weekend markets and trusted stores, we’ve brought together a list of businesses committed to producing and supplying food right here in our region.

Whether you’re doing the weekly shop, looking for fresh fruit and veg, or wanting to support your neighbours, this guide will help you find what you need — grown and sold by locals, for locals.

Let’s keep our communities strong by buying local and backing the people who put food on our tables.

We’ve listed the businesses below and mapped them for convenience here. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and we will continue to add more businesses as we progress.

Only businesses with an * are on the Sustainable Table Regenerative Food and Farming Map. Other businesses listed here are not part of the Regenerative Food and Farming Map and have not gone through the formal application or vetting process for inclusion. This list has been created simply to help grow community support for local food businesses in Far North Queensland. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or assessment by Sustainable Table.
