Sarah Robins talks and writes about local food for pleasure and for a crust. She has worked with Slow Food Melbourne and Victorian Farmers' Markets
Association. In the latter role, she contributed The Locavore column to The Age Epicure and was a regular guest on ABC774 with Derek Guille. She was the 2011 recipient of the Geoffrey Roberts Award, a travel scholarship that took Sarah on a research trip to the United States to look at the use of incentive programs that assist low income earners access farmers' markets.
